Scapegoating

What (the Fuck)is Going On in Our World?

I have not written much lately. Since covid-19, the Black Lives Matter protests, the coming Presidential elections, protests becoming riots, federal agents arresting people without cause or telling them the reason, states shutting down, having to wear masks, the church claiming persecution because of government restrictions and much more I have been in a space of contemplation and listening. I am trying to pay attention to how I am feeling and what are the underlying themes popping up in society and the church.

To me there seems to be one overarching theme that is the main driver of this country and even the church. That is the premise of “Scapegoating.”

Which leaves me wondering a few things.

~ What is scapegoating?

~ Why do we scapegoat?

~ How do we not scapegoat?

Over the next three posts I am going to look more closely at Scapegoating. While I hope to shed some light on “What (the Fuck) is Going On in Our World". In the end I am sure that there will only be more questions.
